Kaleidoscope
Trapped inside my double-paned prism,
My world is a kaleidoscope.
The truth twisting and bending into itself,
Becoming one marred image -
Unable to discern its intent from
the end result.
Always changing.
Never to recapture the same vision twice,
Or stand still long enough to appreciate
its beauty.
I pause and the once majestic colors
of stained glass, intertwined, topple below
In layers of artistic chaos.
Beckoning me to climb upon its jagged
Edges and shred the soles of my feet.
I long to meet the artist.
